Tintern Abbey was recently ranked as one of Countrylife editor Clive Aslet’s top ten UK heritage sites.

The Medieval Monmouthsire ruin, which is managed by Cadw, was ranked number eight in the list alongside Sir Alexander Fleming’s laboratory, Walmer Beach, Kent and Salisbury Cathedral.
